Job Summary

Salary Range: $19.75 to $23.50 Per Hour

Final pay determinations will depend on various factors, including, but not limited to experience level, education, knowledge, skills, abilities, and working shift.

The Manufacturing Technician I assists in the production, diagnosis, and repair of medical devices in a cGMP environment. Candidates will possess a high level of attention to detail with the ability to multitask between multiple areas. With direct supervision, the Manufacturing Technician I is responsible for following all relevant departmental SOPs and accurately completing DHRs for each device. Responsible for assisting in the set-up of daily activities ranging from staging devices for production, maintenance and cleaning of equipment per Standard Operating Procedures, inspecting, packaging, and labeling of finished products. Maintains equipment, operates production equipment, handles parts and supply inventory per Standard Operating Procedures.

Operates and maintains a variety of manufacturing equipment, adheres to Good Manufacturing Practices, and participates in process improvement projects within the manufacturing of pharmaceutical products.

Responsibilities
  • The role involves tasks related to processing ingredients and pharmaceutical products, including handling raw materials and finished products, and operating manufacturing equipment like autoclaves, ovens, and filtration apparatus.
  • The job requires mixing compound ingredients for various pharmaceutical products such as liquid products, suspensions, ointments, mixes, blends for tablet granulations, and capsule powders.
  • General maintenance tasks are also part of the role, including work on pumps, homogenizers, filter presses, tablet compression machines, and more.
  • The role requires adherence to standard operating procedures to meet current Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and maintaining necessary records.
  • The job involves compliance with all regulatory requirements and participation in team projects to develop process improvement methods, solutions, and procedures to enhance program quality, cost, and scheduling.
  • If applicable, the role also includes monitoring and verifying quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.
Minimum Requirements
  • GED/High School diploma required.
  • 0 to 2 years' work experience; experience in a regulated industry is preferred.
  • Internal applicants: 1 year of electro-mechanical assembler experience preferred.
  • Ability to frequently lift/move materials and objects (up to 40 lbs).
  • Ability to distinguish and identify colors.
  • Three-dimensional vision. Ability to judge distance and space relationships.
  • Quality-minded and excellent attention to detail.
  • Willing to work as a team player.
  • Excellent attendance and punctuality.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Able to take direction and work on production requirements as needed (after training).
