Job summary

Curi Bio is seeking a Manufacturing Technician to join the production team in Seattle. The role mixes hands-on fabrication with order fulfillment and logistics, with a focus on accuracy and efficiency in a fast-paced lab environment.

The ideal candidate has strong Excel and Word skills, attention to detail, and experience operating CNC machines and 3D printers. On-site work with PPE in a lab setting is required.

Responsibilities

Pay: Hourly, $22–$25/hr

Summary

Curi Bio is dedicated to developing products that make biological research more impactful to improve human health. Curi Bio is seeking an industrious, highly-detail oriented, and self-motivated Manufacturing Technician to join our growing production team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in manufacturing of devices, instruments, and consumables for the life sciences industry.

Time in this role is split roughly 50:50 between (1) hands-on manufacturing and (2) order fulfillment and logistics — picking, packing, shipping, and inventory. Some weeks will lean more heavily one way or the other depending on the production schedule and order volume.

We are looking for an industrious, highly detail-oriented, and self-motivated technician to join our growing production team. The ideal candidate has strong Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and multi-tasking skills, strong verbal and written communication skills, machining and 3D printing skills, and experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with limited supervision.

Job Responsibilities

Manufacturing (~50%)

• Manufacture biomedical products using techniques such as silicone rubber compression molding, nanofabrication, and hardware component assembly
• Independently manage product assembly, packaging, and sterilization
• Work with CNC machines and 3D printers as well as other machine shop instruments
• Maintain strict adherence to written procedures and protocols developed internally
• Complete and maintain processing documentation such as lot tracking, quality control reports, and maintenance logs
• Follow the appropriate quality control processes set by the QC team on incoming components and finished devices
• Execute test procedures and provide feedback to process owners
• Propose revisions to procedures, batch records, work instructions, and other materials to improve workflow and reduce the potential for errors
• Perform scheduled and as-needed cleaning and maintenance of work areas, equipment, and lab supplies
• Independently manage the order queue and fulfill customer orders in a timely manner
• Pick, pack, and ship finished goods, including preparing shipping documentation and labels
• Coordinate with carriers and track outbound shipments as needed
• Receive, inspect, and stock incoming materials in accordance with QC processes
• Assist in maintaining finished goods and raw material inventory levels, including packaging and shipping supplies

Required Qualifications

• Proven ability to solve problems independently
• High school degree or equivalent certificate
• Ability to read, follow, and understand operating procedures
• Effective at managing time and workload with minimal supervision
• Working knowledge of spreadsheets (Excel/Sheets) and word processing (Word/Docs)
• Well-organized and detail-oriented
• Operate with a team-first mentality

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with operating CNC machines and 3D printers
• 1–3 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment
• Experience with order fulfillment or shipping (e.g., pick/pack, carrier software, inventory tracking)

Working Conditions

• The job responsibilities of this position are performed on-site
• Will be working in a lab environment where various PPE will be required
• Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
• Must be able to occasionally carry and/or lift up to 50 pounds while handling equipment and/or materials (strong dexterity skills are needed)
