Job summary

SGS Consulting in California is seeking an electronics/electrical technician with 4+ years of related work experience to contribute to high voltage testing and diagnostics. You will handle basic hand tools, soldering, DVMs, oscilloscopes, and documentation with strong color-vision accuracy.

Candidates should have an AA/AS in Electrical Engineering or Technology or a technical certificate, plus HS diploma. On-site role in Sacramento, with opportunities to grow in a fast-paced team.

Qualifications

• Experience with high voltage 480 V testing is a major plus.
• Strong communication in English, both written and oral.
• Proficient with MS Word and Excel.
• Ability to use basic electronic test and measurement equipment like DVMs and oscilloscopes.

• Experience with high voltage 480 volts testing a major plus.
• Ability to effectively communicate, both written and oral, in English.
• Good computer skills, including familiarity with MS Word and Excel.
• Ability to use basic electronic test and measurement equipment, such as DVM’s, oscilloscopes, and to correctly interpret the results.
• Ability to use basic hand tools.
• Knowledge of basic soldering techniques and use of soldering equipment
• Must have good color vision, to identify color coded wiring and cables

Education/Experience

• Associate of Arts/Science in Electrical Engineering or Technology from a recognized College, with four (4) year’s comparable experience; Certificate of Completion from a recognized Technical Trade School, or in process of attaining and/or Advanced Military technical school, plus four (4) year’s comparable work experience.
• High School Degree/GED or equivalent required.
