Job description

This is an entry-level role responsible for manufacturing quality products efficiently, accurately, and safely, adhering to regulations. The role involves routine assignments where recognition of deviations from accepted practices is necessary. Typically, no instruction is needed for routine tasks, but general guidance is provided for new assignments. Supervision is provided by a senior employee.

  1. Perform all work in compliance with company policy and within the guidelines of Biomerieux’s Quality System.
  2. Maintain records in compliance with regulatory requirements, Good Manufacturing Practices, and Standard Operating Procedures.
  3. Assemble regulated products and sub-assemblies, including medical devices.
  4. Maintain organization and cleanliness of assigned production areas.
  5. Perform routine cleaning of equipment.
  6. Operate manual, low-volume equipment.
  7. Follow instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform job functions.
  8. Handle moderately complex assignments requiring judgment to resolve problems.
  9. Provide training to new manufacturing technicians as needed.
  10. Must be able to perform duties while wearing a Powered Air Purifying Respirator (PAPR).
  11. Perform other duties as assigned.

This role requires no prior experience; however, related experience is preferred. A High School Diploma or equivalent is required.

  1. Proficiency in English, including reading, writing, speaking, and comprehension skills.
  2. High attention to detail.
  3. Basic math skills.

Physical requirements include standing for prolonged periods, correctly wearing PPE most of the day, and lifting or moving objects up to 50 pounds.
