Position: Manufacturing Technician – Day Shift

Position Summary:

Catalent Pharma Solutions in Chelsea, MA is hiring a Manufacturing Technician to assist in routine operations for GMP production of pharmaceutical products. The individual will operate in accordance with environmental, health, safety, and cGMP guidelines, executing production activities under direct supervision for the spray drying of Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients.

The Chelsea facility is Catalent’s global Center of Excellence for spray dry dispersion and DPI capsule manufacturing and packaging. It features inhaled powder spray drying and multiple commercial-scale lines for capsule filling and blister packaging, including the GEA Niro SD1, SD4, and SD7 dryers.

This is a full-time hourly position with core hours from 6AM to 6PM, on a rotating 12-hour shift schedule, including every other weekend. Week one involves 48 hours over four days; week two involves 36 hours over three days.

Responsibilities:

• Perform Clean-In-Place, Clean-Out-of-Place, and equipment decontamination as required
• Operate and monitor manufacturing equipment for clinical and commercial pharmaceutical production
• Assist in executing routine and complex production processes
• Complete GMP documentation accurately and legibly
• Receive and distribute supplies within the manufacturing area
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent required; Biotechnology Certificate or AS preferred
• At least 1 year of prior work experience, preferably in manufacturing
• Understanding of documentation and data traceability importance
• Familiarity with SOPs in manufacturing or assembly environments preferred
• Knowledge of Good Documentation and Good Manufacturing Practices preferred
• Ability to work in controlled or clean room environments with gowning requirements
• Ability to work safely and conscientiously in a manufacturing setting
• Physical ability to sit, stand, walk regularly, and occasionally lift 0-15 pounds
