Job summary

Briggs & Stratton in Statesboro, GA is seeking a maintenance technician to troubleshoot and repair plant production equipment and assist with setup of various production systems to ensure quality products. Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 1.5 years of technical experience with mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems.

Responsibilities

• Maintains electrical, heating, plumbing, and hydraulic systems across production equipment.
• Performs machining and bench operations to modify tools, dies, fixtures, gauges, and guarding.
• Troubleshoots and repairs equipment; conducts preventative maintenance.
• Performs statistical process charting and trend analysis to adjust processes to specifications.
• Handles additional duties as assigned.

Uses technical knowledge to troubleshoot and repair plant production equipment. Performs duties associated with the setup of a variety of production equipment to produce quality products.

Job Responsibilities

• Maintains structures, electrical systems, heating systems, plumbing, machine repair, hydraulics systems for a variety of equipment
• Performs various machining or bench operations to alter and repair tools, dies, fixtures, jigs, gauges and guarding
• Troubleshoots and repairs equipment; performs preventative maintenance
• Responsible for statistical process charting, interpretation, and trend-analysis in order to perform process or equipment adjustments to bring parts into specification
• Performs other duties as assigned
