Job summary

M1 Search Group is seeking a Die Cast Maintenance Technician in Fredericktown, MO to support daily production by maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing die-cast equipment. Position Summary

The Die Cast Maintenance Technician supports daily die-cast production by maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and improving production equipment. This position works closely with the Die Cast Maintenance and Production teams to minimize equipment downtime, improve machine performance, and ensure production runs safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair die-cast machinery and related equipment.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on hydraulic, mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
• Respond to planned and unplanned equipment downtime and provide timely solutions to restore production.
• Support die repairs, die rebuilds, component rebuilds, and general die maintenance.
• Perform planned and emergency crucible replacements.
• Work closely with production and maintenance team members to complete assigned work efficiently.
• Partner with the Die Cast Maintenance Team Leader to identify opportunities to reduce downtime and improve equipment efficiency.
• Perform robot recovery and assist with robot training and troubleshooting activities as needed.
• Support the removal, installation, and modification of die-cast equipment.
• Assist with new equipment, new model launches, and continuous improvement projects.
• Communicate equipment conditions, repairs, machine performance, and outstanding issues during shift handoffs.
• Participate in shift meetings, safety meetings, training programs, and other required team activities.
• Maintain a safe, organized work environment and follow established maintenance and production procedures.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Education:

• Technical high school diploma, vocational training, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant hands-on experience.

Experience:

• Minimum of 3 years of manufacturing experience.
• Experience troubleshooting and repairing industrial production equipment.
• Working knowledge of hydraulic, mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
• Experience with die-cast equipment, dies, robotics, or automated manufacturing equipment is preferred.
• Experience working in a team-based manufacturing environment and using structured problem-solving techniques.
