Job Schedule: Weekend day shift- 3/12: Employees work 12 hour days, 3 days a week

Job Description:

L3Harris is seeking a Manufacturing Technician to join our team who will provide support to the production line with unit alignment, assembly, and testing.

Essential Functions:

  1. Able to follow and comply with documents such as work instructions, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions.
  2. Assemble, align, and test systems and components for complex optics, laser, and night vision products following specified work instructions and procedures to ensure finished product meets established operational and cosmetic requirements.
  3. Ability to work with RTV, epoxy, and other bonds/adhesives.
  4. Ability to complete fine/complex assemblies with small components and apply bond/adhesives potentially with use of a microscope.
  5. Ability to make fine adjustments while simultaneously monitoring computer/screen output of unit results.
  6. Ability to operate complex active alignment stations and tooling.
  7. Ability to troubleshoot and disposition basic failure modes of systems.
  8. Ability to use, read, and interpret oscilloscopes and other measurement devices/tools.
  9. Knowledge of electronic, optical and mechanical assemblies.
  10. Identifies, utilizes, and performs preventive maintenance on tools and test equipment as required.
  11. Demonstrate comprehension of engineering prints and schematics.
  12. Reports deviations from standard to appropriate resource for review, instruction and authorization and obtains quality inspection when appropriate.
  13. Applies considerable math skills to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals--Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
  14. Participates in meetings and working groups to solve problems, communicate issues, obtain approvals, and maintains specific level of knowledge pertaining to new requirements or policies.

Qualifications:

  1. High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience.

Preferred Additional Skills:

  1. Moderate computer skills (Excel, Word), interface with production testing software (LabView, MEData).
  2. Traverse throughout manufacturing floor.
