Job Description

This position is responsible for testing, troubleshooting, overhaul, and repair of high reliability electro-mechanical and electronic avionics instruments. Responsibilities include conducting tests on digital printed circuit boards, subassemblies, or end products, using various test equipment, and interpreting schematics and technical documents. Basic troubleshooting skills are required, including troubleshooting product, subassembly, and circuit board failures to the component level.

Essential Functions

• Read schematic diagrams, assembly drawings, and test procedures.
• Perform Acceptance Testing such as vibration, thermal cycles, and vacuum tests on flight hardware.
• Test and troubleshoot digital and analog assemblies with minimal supervision.
• Collaborate with engineers on new product implementation and design issues.
• Use electronic test equipment like oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and signal generators.
• Maintain quality standards and interface with customers as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent with at least 4 years of relevant experience, or 2 years post-secondary/Associate’s degree with 1 year of related experience.
• Minimum 1 year of manufacturing experience.

Preferred Skills

• Associates or technical trade school background.
• Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance.
• Knowledge of electronic theory and test equipment (e.g., spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes).
• Understanding of digital and analog circuitry.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
