Your Role:

At MilliporeSigma, the Manufacturing Technician 4 will mix and process various biological compounds according to established protocols and perform operations in support of the group.

  • Monday-Friday 2:00pm-10:30pm (training will be on 1st shift for the first 6 weeks).
  • Location STL Broadway
  • Complete all documentation in accordance with Good Documentation Practices as dictated by internal policies.
  • Communicate status of processes, products, and equipment to the team.
  • Complete a thorough and accurate batch record at the conclusion of production operations consistent with quality guidelines.
  • Work near moving mechanical parts; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or hazardous chemicals, the noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Physical Attributes:

  • Lift, push, and/or pull up to 40 pounds.
  • Sit, stand; walk; use hands, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and taste or smell.
  • Utilize close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth vision and adjust focus.
  • Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) such as an air helmet, mask, safety shoes, rubber apron, protective gloves, and or chemical resistant suit.

Who You Are

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 3+ years’ of work experience in a chemical, biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or other life science manufacturing environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate Degree in Biology, Chemistry, or other Life Science discipline.
  • Solid knowledge of chemistry, math, and general science.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude.
