There is currently an opening for a Manufacturing Technician 3 or Manufacturing Technician 4 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. The selected candidate will report to the Production Manager. This position falls under one of Northrop Grumman's Small Business Units, Sonoma Photonics, Inc. and will be located onsite in Santa Rosa, CA
Essential Functions: Performs functions associated with all thin film coating operations, including working with engineers in set-up and calibration tasks, chamber foiling, coating, and analyzing and inspecting optics. Uses sophisticated programs to collect and evaluate operating data to conduct adjustments to instruments and equipment. Ability to follow critical work instructions for assigned platform (past and present) and related analytical equipment. Works with engineers in conducting testing and process development and documentation. Handling and managing fragile composite materials. Prepare calibration run-sheets, coats calibration runs, analyzes results, and helps revise tooling factors for calibration runs. Includes understanding of the optical monitor and crystal monitor system.
