Job summary

Northrop Grumman's Space Sector is seeking a Manufacturing Technician - Level 3 to join our team in Promontory, UT. This position is 100% onsite and cannot accommodate telecommute work. This is for straight weekend shift.

Responsibilities include following procedures, performing repairs, and obtaining required certifications for core tasks. You may work with adhesives, drills, presses, and torque tools; overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent and 4 years additional education and/or related experience.
• Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance.
• Able to read, comprehend and follow established written instructions without deviation.
• Perform basic math and measurement functions.

• Makes operator-controlled repairs as required.
• Must pass all job-specific or specialized certification programs required for core tasks or specialized assignments.

• May work in area that sets up and operates press cure equipment - PLC or manual controlled.
• Must be willing to work overtime as required.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Must be able to work any shift.

Basic Qualifications for Level 3:

• High School diploma or equivalent and 4 years additional education and/or related experience.


• Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance.


• Able to work a physically demanding day (stand for long periods; work from your knees; ascend and descend ladders; lift, bend, twist push and pull up to 50 lbs.).


• Able to read, comprehend and follow established written instructions without deviation.


• Perform basic math and measurement functions.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with operating industrial equipment such as cranes, forklifts, precision measuring instruments and hand tools.


• Will teach as necessary.


• Makes operator-controlled repairs as required.


• Large machine tool/autoclave experience OR previous experience working with phenolic materials.

Northrop Grumman Total Rewards Primary Level Salary Range: $52,700.00 - $87,900.00

Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business. The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
