Job summary

ADP, Inc. is seeking a Manufacturing Technician to help fulfill customer orders by staying on production schedules and following safety and quality processes. You will support various areas of the facility, including prep, masking, painting, inspection, and material handling.

Responsibilities include reading work orders, operating equipment, maintaining a clean, safe workspace, and reporting quality or safety issues. ISO 9001/AS9100 experience is a plus.

  • Prepare parts for processing including cleaning, masking, and staging.
  • Load/unload parts and materials onto production equipment.
  • Operate production equipment as trained.
  • Inspect products to ensure quality and document results.
  • Identify and report safety hazards or production delays.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Cross-train in multiple departments as needed.

Job description

As a Manufacturing Technician, you’ll help fulfill customer orders by staying on track with production schedules, following safety and quality processes, and suggesting improvements to help us work smarter and faster.

Team members may work in various areas of the facility, including part preparation, masking, blasting, loading/unloading, powder coating, painting, quality inspection, and material handling.

  • Follow all company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and required PPE guidelines.
  • Support company 6S, lean manufacturing, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Prepare parts for processing through cleaning, masking, plugging, and staging activities.
  • Load and unload parts, materials, and products onto racks, hooks, conveyors, carts, and other production equipment.
  • Operate production equipment and tools as trained and assigned.
  • Assist with blasting, painting, powder coating, curing, and finishing processes.
  • Read and follow work orders, production schedules, process instructions, and quality requirements.
  • Inspect products and components to ensure compliance with customer and quality standards.
  • Accurately complete required production documentation and records.
  • Identify and report quality issues, equipment concerns, safety hazards, or production delays.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Work effectively with supervisors and teammates to meet production goals and delivery schedules.
  • Participate in problem-solving activities and recommend process improvements.
  • Cross-train and perform duties in multiple departments as business needs require.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Previous manufacturing, production, assembly, warehouse, industrial, coating, painting, blasting, or material handling experience preferred.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Dependable, safety-conscious, and willing to learn new skills.
  • Experience working in an ISO 9001 or AS9100 environment is a plus.
  • Forklift experience is a plus.

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during the workday.
  • Frequent bending, twisting, reaching, kneeling, and lifting.
  • Ability to regularly lift, push, pull, or carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Exposure to heat, noise, dust, chemicals, and industrial equipment.
  • Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, respirators, and protective clothing as required.
  • Ability to safely operate around moving equipment, conveyors, racks, and material handling devices.
Schedule
  • Full-time position.
    • 2nd Shift: 3:00pm to 11:30pm
  • Initial training may be conducted on 1st Shift before transitioning to an assigned shift.
  • Overtime and schedule adjustments may be required based on production demands.
