Job summary

OriGen Biomedical in Austin, TX is seeking a dedicated Clean Room Tech to join our fabrication team. The role focuses on assembly, testing and packaging of medical devices in a controlled cleanroom environment.

The CRT must follow drawings, procedures and batch records, ensuring precise documentation and adherence to quality standards while working with a range of tools and equipment. A high level of English proficiency is required.

Qualifications

  • Must be detail-oriented and able to focus on repetitive tasks for long periods.
  • Proficient with computers and basic software navigation.
  • Able to absorb, recall and locate large quantities of data/information.
  • Must read, write, speak and understand English.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble, test and package medical devices and components according to drawings and procedures.
  • Meet production schedules and deadlines while upholding quality standards.
  • Follow detailed written and verbal instructions and document activities accurately.
  • Learn multiple tasks and train in other areas as needed to support operations.
  • Maintain logs, paperwork and forms, and adhere to cleanroom dress code and policies.
  • Work effectively in a multi-cultural team and contribute as a team player.

Position Summary

The Clean Room Tech (CRT) is responsible for: assembly, testing and packaging of medical devices and components. Required to understand and comply with drawings, written procedures, batch records and apply these standards to their work.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment

This job often operates in a cleanroom environment. Cleanroom environment requires personnel to wear personal clean and non-frayed pants/scrubs completely covering the legs and/or a full pants/body “bunny suit”. Personnel may also be required to wear company-provided cleanroom coat, bouffant, face mask, and gloves.

  • Must be able to stand or sit for extended periods of time. Must be able to wear personal protective equipment when required.
  • Exposure to MEK, cycle hex, Clorox bleach, and IPA for product cleaning services.
  • Due to extremely detailed nature of work, may be required to submit to periodic post-employment vision screening and be willing/able to wear corrective eye wear if deemed necessary/appropriate. Works closely under lamps while at specific stations.
  • Note: OriGen is a fragrance, smoke, smokeless tobacco and vape-free facility. There is NO use of any tobacco or vape products permitted anywhere on company grounds/property or during any shift, break or lunch period.

Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
