Job summary

Actalent in Long Beach, CA is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer with 5+ years of experience to build and inspect mechanical assemblies and oversee systems integration across product lines.

You will develop and refine manufacturing processes and work instructions, evaluate designs for manufacturability, and drive continuous improvement, including capital equipment upgrades and floor layout optimization to ensure on-time delivery.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical/manufacturing/aerospace/materials/industrial engineering.
  • 5+ years of engineering experience in manufacturing or production.
  • Experience with build, assembly, or integration of mixed electro-mechanical assemblies.
  • Knowledge of mechanical/hardware systems manufacturing techniques, processes, and equipment.
  • Mechanical component and/or tooling design and analysis using 3D CAD software.
  • Experience with design for manufacture and assembly (DFMA).
  • Experience transitioning complex products from R&D to high-volume manufacturing.
  • Experience writing work instructions and procedures.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in mechanical, manufacturing, aerospace, materials or industrial engineering

5+ years of engineering experience in manufacturing or production

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $155000.00 - $180000.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
