Job summary

Dexcom is seeking a Production Equipment Technician to set up, troubleshoot, and monitor equipment across Production, Pilot Plant and Test Lab environments. The role supports equipment qualification, maintenance, and calibration with rigorous record-keeping and GMP adherence.

The successful candidate will help with training on operation, parts ordering, and safety evaluations, contributing to Dexcom’s CGM leadership and career growth opportunities globally.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2–4 years of related experience.
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience with equipment IQs, minor PMs, and calibrations.

Responsibilities

  • Set up, troubleshoot and monitor equipment in Production, Pilot Plant and Test Lab.
  • Assist with equipment qualification, maintenance and calibration with record keeping.
  • Follow GMP guidelines for daily set up and shut down of production equipment.
  • Assist equipment parts ordering, receiving and location to designated area.
  • Assist and conduct training on operating equipment.
  • Assist equipment safety evaluation and audits.

Where you come in:
  • You will be responsible for set-up, troubleshooting and monitoring of equipment in Production, Pilot Plant, and Test Lab.
  • You will be supporting basic equipment qualification, maintenance and calibration activities with record keeping.
  • Following GMP guidelines, you will participate in the daily set up and shut down of production equipment, such as plasma stations, ISOP Stat lines, etc.
  • You will be assisting in equipment/parts ordering, receiving, and locating them to the designated area.
  • You will be assisting and conducting training on operating equipment.
  • You will be assisting and conducting equipment safety evaluation and audit.
What makes you successful:
  • You have experience in routinely monitoring production equipment.
  • Able to adjust equipment setting parameters based on specifications to optimize equipment performance.
  • You have experience in troubleshooting, repairing and test production equipment.
  • You have experience in assemble, test, and maintain fixtures, modules, and replacement parts.
  • You have experience in assisting and conducting equipment IQs, minor PMs, and calibrations.
  • Proficiency in updating equipment records in RAM or other CMMS asset management systems and/or other record keeping system.
  • You have manufacturing operator or past equipment maintenance experience.
  • You have experience with MS, Excel, Word, PowerPoint etc.

Experience and Education:

Typically requires a minimum of 2-4 years of related experience and a High School diploma/certificate or equivalent.

Language Skills:

Must be able to communicate effectively in English. Examples of English language proficiency may include (but are not limited to): ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; ability to write routine reports and correspondence; ability to verbally communicate with leadership, employees, and auditors; ability to comprehend spoken language.

Physical Demands:

Employees in this position may be required to perform the following physical activities: standing, walking and sitting for extended periods of time; frequent use of the hands, fingers, wrist, and greater arm to handle small materials, tools, boxes, and trays; lifting and carrying objects up to 50Ibs; occasional overhead reaches and lifts; occasional lifts and reaches below the knee; occasional pushing and pulling of materials and objects with moderate forces; occasional crouching/kneeling, twisting, and squatting movements.

Work Environment:

Employees may be exposed to the following environmental conditions while performing this job: work near moving parts, work with chemicals, outdoor weather conditions, exposure to intense light and/or intermittent light, fast-paced work, and elevated noise levels.
