Job Title: Manufacturing Technician
Location: Irvine, CA (Onsite)
Contract Duration: Contract until 07/14/2026
Work Hours: 5:00AM - 1:30PM

MAIN PURPOSE OF ROLE
The Manufacturing Technician, in collaboration with operations, engineering, maintenance, facilities, logistics, and safety departments, provides support to manufacturing operations to ensure production staff is able to reliably attain manufacturing targets, and supports outside operations to meet site goals for safety, quality compliance, and culture building.

This position primarily supports the 1st shift. Planned hours are 5:00 AM – 1:30 PM, with limited overtime and flexible hours when required. Onboarding hours for the initial month will be roughly 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM. This position is fully onsite.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supports manufacturing line by ensuring materials and equipment are available and ready at shift start to minimize downtime.
  • Supports the implementation and monitoring of training systems and schedules.
  • Participates in site initiatives for efficiency improvements and quality compliance.
  • Performs root cause analysis on manufacturing and operational failures, supporting corrective actions.
  • Gathers information on current production equipment, tooling, and systems to determine proper spare parts. Coordinates purchasing and storage of spare parts, tools, and fixtures to ensure equipment operates optimally.
  • Ensures compliance with all Abbott procedures and regulatory requirements.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Education
Associates Degree (or equivalent) in a technical/industrial field.

Experience/Background

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in manufacturing, logistics, or related roles.
  • Experience in a medical device manufacturing or similarly regulated environment preferred.
  • Proficiency in software such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Flexible, adaptable, team-oriented, self-starter, eager to learn new skills.
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken).
