Job summary

Agru America, Inc. is seeking a Manufacturing Technician to join our team on a 12-hour rotating night shift. You will operate and monitor equipment, perform maintenance, follow schedules, and help ensure product quality.

We value safety, teamwork, and a proactive approach to process improvement. Qualified candidates will bring a high school diploma, technical certification preferred, and manufacturing experience. Visa sponsorship may be available for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Technical degree or certification is preferred.
• Experience with 5S is preferred.
• Experience in a manufacturing or production environment with 1+ year is required.
• Experience as a machine mechanic is preferred.
• Quality control experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor manufacturing equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on machinery.
• Follow production schedules and meet quality standards.
• Collaborate with team members to improve production processes.
• Maintain accurate records of production data and equipment maintenance.
• Adhere to safety protocols and promote a safe working environment.
• Assist in training new employees in manufacturing procedures.
• Understand raw materials and where to utilize them.
• Check the quality of products and weigh materials.
• Inform shift supervisor about quality, equipment or safety concerns.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the Company.

Manufacturing Technician - 12 hour rotating Night shifts

• Maintains an understanding of the different types of raw materials and the appropriate manufacturing location where they should be utilized
• Check the quality of products
• Examines, measures, and weighs materials or products
• Informs the shift supervisor about product quality problems, equipment problems and safety concerns
• Any other duties that the Company in its sole discretion may assign as needed

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints, preferred
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities

  Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; required
  • Technical degree or certification, preferred
  • Experience with 5s, preferred
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment +1 year, required
  • Experience as a machine mechanic, preferred
  • Quality control experience, preferred

  Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to frequently lift/carry/push/pull up to 50 pounds
  • This position requires, but is not limited to, standing, walking, utilizing stairs or ladders, driving automatic forklift, climbing, squatting, stooping, twisting, bending, grabbing and grasping
  • Must be able to work in a non-controlled environment
