Northrop Grumman, Space Systems, is currently seeking Manufacturing Technicians to work with our Case Value Stream Operations team. This position will be supporting Propulsion Systems Divisions at our Clearfield Freeport Center with the anticipation that the position will be transferred to our Copper Crossing Value Stream location in Salt Lake City after training has concluded.

Role Description & Responsibilities:

The primary assignment for this position is in Case Prep performing hands-on activities associated with the preparation of rocket motor chambers and components, mold assembly, powder embedment, chamber handling, and shipping processes. Responsibilities include:

  1. Learning and demonstrating the skills to safely and efficiently perform chamber preparation operations.
  2. Safely operating equipment associated with Case Prep operations.
  3. Reading, interpreting, and following procedures, standard work instructions, engineering drawings, and specifications.
  4. Certifying to and sustaining all Quality Manufacturing-to-Inspect (MTI) requirements.
  5. Completing and sustaining sound proficiencies in all required training.
  6. Learning and demonstrating the ability to safely perform chamber moves with cranes and other powered equipment.
  7. Performing safe and competent operation of all hand tools, powered tools, and equipment utilized in the area.
  8. Demonstrating understanding and ability to safely perform spotting operations.
  9. Physical ability to individually lift objects up to 50 pounds.
  10. Other duties as assigned by the leadership team.

Basic Qualifications:

This position can be filled at either a level 1 or level 2.

Experience Requirements for a Level 1:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Physical ability to individually lift objects up to 50 pounds

Experience Requirements for a Level 2:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 2 years of related work experience
  • Physical ability to individually lift objects up to 50 pounds

Salary Range: $36,300 - $60,500

Salary Range 2: $43,100 - $71,900

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers.
