Job summary

Oerlikon Group is seeking a Manufacturing Technician for our Laurel, MT facility on 1st shift (Mon-Thurs, 7:00am-5:30pm). You will operate and troubleshoot the production line, perform change-overs, and ensure product quality to spec. You will also run daily logs and assist with preventive maintenance.

The role requires 0–3 years of skilled manufacturing experience, a High School Diploma, and the ability to lift 50 lbs. English fluency is essential; ISO 9001 knowledge is a plus.

Qualifications

• 0–3 years of skilled labor experience in manufacturing (preferred in chemical or metalworking).
• Must read, write and speak fluent English.
• Able to lift 50 lbs daily in a warehouse environment.
• ISO 9001 knowledge/experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate production line equipment.
• Troubleshoot production line equipment.
• Perform equipment change-overs.
• Quality control: adjust and reject products outside specifications.
• Operate forklift to supply materials.
• Maintain daily production logs.

We are looking for a Manufacturing Technician (1st Shift: Mon - Thurs, 7:00am - 5:30pm) for our Laurel, MT facility. In this role you will perform manual labor along a production line. Operates and troubleshoots production line equipment. May perform minor repairs as necessary.

Your Responsibilities:

• Operate production line equipment.
• Troubleshoot production line equipment.
• Perform equipment change-overs.
• Responsible for quality control. Make adjustments as necessary to produce product within specifications. Reject any product outside of specifications.
• Operate forklift to maintain raw material supply for the production line.
• Complete and maintain daily production logs.
• Perform preventive maintenance (PMs) on production line machinery.
• Communicate with operators from other shifts.
• Add chemicals and materials to work pieces, using hand tools.
• Clean and maintain work area.
• Turn off and lock out equipment when not in use.

Your Profile:

• Candidate must have a 0 - 3 years of skilled labor experience in manufacturing, preferably in the chemical or metal working industry. Additional experience/knowledge in ISO 9001 development, implementation and compliance is a plus.
• Candidate must work well under pressure and maintain professionalism during stressful situations.
• High School Diploma Preferred.
• Must be self-motivated, confident, highly dependable, and have solid follow- up skills.
• Ability to interact with other departments to gain access to necessary information with the ability to multitask.
• Must be able to read, write, and speak fluent English.
• Able to lift 50 lbs daily in the warehouse environment.
