Job summary

Hendrick Technical Solutions in Concord, NC is seeking an experienced press brake and fiber laser operator to assist in maintaining, programming and operating 5-axis equipment. You will read engineering prints and program parts for Cincinnati press brakes and lasers.

The role requires working with various metals and tight QC parameters. Ideal candidates have 1+ year press brake programming experience, 3+ years press brake operation, 2D CAD skills, and familiarity with Cincinnati software.

Location: 2745 Piedmont Commerce Street, Unit A, Concord, North Carolina 28027

Summary

Uses various tools and machinery to cut, bend, form, and shape metal sheets or components according to blueprints and specifications, often creating custom parts by manipulating metal through processes like shearing, punching, bending, and sometimes welding, to meet specific project requirements; essentially, they fabricate metal parts by carefully shaping them to desired dimensions and contours.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assist in maintaining, programming, and operating a 5-axis press brake and/or fiber laser.
  • Interpret engineering prints and program the part in the Cincinnati press brake and/or laser.
  • Work with safety critical items and tight QC parameters.
  • Read and understand engineering documents and blueprints.
  • Identify various material types (4130A, 4130N, Mild Steels, Aluminums, Stainless Steels, Titanium, etc.).
  • Run, maintain, and operate a sander.
