Job summary

OP Specialty Bracing in Massachusetts is hiring a Manufacturing Technician to follow detailed work orders and assemble custom pediatric braces from measurements, casts and scans. You will contribute to devices for ankle/feet, scoliosis, and plagiocephaly in a team setting, using basic tools and light lifting as needed.

The role requires high school completion, teamwork, and reliable transportation, with two shift options: 8:30am–5:00pm and 2:30pm–11:00pm.

Qualifications

  • Manufacturing requires following instructions and detailed work orders.
  • Produce a custom bracing product from measurements, casts and scans.
  • Bracing for ankle/feet, scoliosis/spine, and plagiocephaly/helmeting for infants.

Responsibilities

  • Work with hands and maintain good visual symmetry.
  • Operate drill press, jig saw, hand saw and grinders.
  • Handle 30–50 lb lifting as needed.
  • Read tape measurements and follow written instructions precisely.
  • Learn medical terms related to human anatomy as required.
  • Input information using basic computer skills and perform other duties.

Job description

OP Specialty Bracing is growing, and we believe our team is the key to our success. We are hiring a Manufacturing Technician to join our team. If you are a motivated, caring individual who wants to make a difference in the lives of children.

Summary:

The Manufacturing Technician requiresfollowingspecific instructions and detailed work orders to manufacture a custom bracing product from measurements,castsand scans. We make bracing for ankle/feet, scoliosis/spine, and Plagiocephaly/helmeting for infants.

First Shift Monday- Friday 8:30am-5:00pm
Second Shift Monday - Friday 2:30pm-11:00pm
Responsibilities:
  • Ability to work with hands, including good visual capabilities to assess symmetry.
  • Use of basic hand tools: drill press, jig saw, hand saw, rotary grinders
  • Capability forsome heavylifting of 30 to 50lbs.
  • Aptitude for basic math skills, including reading tape measurements and following written instructions.
  • Good readingskills and comprehension skills, as well as the necessity to learn medical termspertainingtohuman anatomy.
  • Basic computer skills to open and send documents, as well as input information.
  • Preform all other duties as needed.

  • Must have willingness to follow instructions, and work well in a team environment
  • Dependable transportation
