Job summary

OP Specialty Bracing is expanding, seeking a Certified Prosthetist Orthotist to join our pediatric-focused team. Our mission is to improve children’s lives through cutting-edge orthotics and prosthetics delivered by a dedicated clinical team.

The role involves comprehensive patient assessment, device fitting, design, and education, with emphasis on collaborative care with physicians and families. Join a clinic network dedicated to safer, better outcomes for kids.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field required.
• MSPO and NCOPE residency completed.
• Two+ years related experience or training.
• Clinical skills in orthotics and prosthetics essential.

Responsibilities

• Examine, interview, and measure patients to determine appliance needs; identify fit factors.
• Fit, test, and evaluate devices; adjust for fit, function, and comfort.
• Instruct patients in use and care of orthoses/prostheses.
• Design orthopedic devices based on physician prescriptions and patient measurements.
• Create and modify plaster casts for device construction.
• Select materials and components based on device design.
• Consult with physicians to formulate device specifications and prescriptions.
• Repair, rebuild, and modify orthopedic appliances.
• Construct or supervise fabrication of appliances; oversee others.
• Perform other duties as required.

OP Specialty Bracing is growing, and we believe our team is the key to our success. We are hiring a Certified Prosthetist Orthotist to join our team.

Responsibilities

• Examine, interview, and measure patients to determine their appliance needs; identify factors affecting appliance fit.
• Fit, test, and evaluate devices on patients; make adjustments for proper fit, function, and comfort.
• Instruct patients in the use and care of orthoses/prostheses.
• Design orthopedic devices, based on physicians' prescriptions and examination/measurement of patients.
• Make and modify plaster casts of areas that will be fitted with orthoses, for use in the device construction process.
• Select materials and components to be used based on device design.
• Confer with physicians to formulate specifications and prescriptions for orthopedic devices.
• Repair, rebuild, and modify orthopedic appliances.
• Construct and fabricate appliances or direct others constructing the appliances.
• Performs all other duties as required.

Education/Experience

• Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university
• Two plus years related experience and/or training; equivalent combination of education and experience
• Master's of Science in Orthotics and Prosthetics (MSPO)
• Completion of NCOPE certified residency program
