Job summary

Coherent Corp. is seeking a Manufacturing Technician in a controlled environment in Santa Rosa, CA. The role involves hands-on operation of optical dicing and filter robot testing, ensuring procedures are followed and quality targets met.

The candidate will read process instructions, operate automated equipment, and collaborate with the team to maintain throughput and 0% rejects. Manufacturing experience and basic math skills are preferred, with a strong emphasis on safety and accuracy.

Qualifications

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

• Performs hands-on operation of optical dicing and filter robot testing process




• All optical sizing and robot filter testing/shipping steps performed per procedure to a 0% reject standard.




• Quality of product and throughput rate meets or exceeds departmental goals.




• Products meet quality per internal and external customer specifications.




• Works with the team to meet delivery goals




• Improve processes under the guidance of supervision.




• All steps are performed per policy and procedure

Education & Experience

• High School diploma or equivalent




• Basic reading and math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide)




• Desirable working experience in manufacturing environment




• Familiarity with operating automated equipment




• Ability to read and understand process procedures and inspection criteria




• Experience with networked PC based computer systems (MS Office, spreadsheets, Email, and MRP systems)

• Capable of applying basic math to product activities




• Ability to understand and interpret product drawings (blueprints)




• Ability to meet tight time schedules




• Familiarity with precision optics manufacturing and metrology

Pay Range: Manufacturing Technician

$44,611 - $71,795, Year
