MANUFACTURING TECHNICIAN

Description
The manufacturing technician will support the Operations team in fulfilling customer orders by ensuring adherence to daily production schedules, supporting our world-class Quality Management System, and seeking opportunities to continuously improve our manufacturing process with the goal of reducing lead time, improving quality, and providing exceptional customer experiences.
Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Commitment to 6S safety and continuous improvement
- Support and follow OSHA mandated safe work practices and operating procedures
- Be a team player. We seek candidates who enjoy working with peers and teammates under pressure to deliver real value to customers
- Be flexible. We seek candidates who have a willingness to work in a variety of roles that include blast booth, prepping & masking, load/unload, paint
- Comfort and familiarity using an industry leading ERP system to process inbound and outbound deliveries
- Experience instituting and adhering to an organized and alpha-numeric storage system to library inbound and outbound deliveries
- Customer focus. The ideal candidate recognizes we exist to serve our customers and we will do whatever it takes to make the customer happy
- Communication with internal and external stakeholders is an essential responsibility
- Be flexible. Customer delivery and pick-up events are unpredictable and vary day to day. The ideal candidate will provide consistent customer service regardless of how customers communicate, schedule, or arrive at our facilities
- Ability to follow defined procedures and policies within our Quality Management System to ensure customers receive best-in-class quality without exception. Adherence to packaging and labeling requirements is an essential responsibility of this job.
- Actively contribute new ideas to improve process flow with the goal of reducing customer lead times
- Embrace root cause corrective action problem solving. Bring ideas forward to help us improve how we serve customers
- Be positive. It is easy to get beaten down while working within a manufacturing environment. We seek candidates who thrive under pressure and bring positive energy to overcome the most challenging problems our customers seek our assistance and support to solve
Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be professional, proactive, and positive. Having a passion for exceptional customer service and support is a must. Being sensitive to the unpredictable demands and uncertainties associated with working in a specialty surface coating & finishing business is a requisite to delivering superior results and exceeding the expectations of our internal and external customers.
