Job summary

Qualifications

  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally and 25 lbs frequently.

Responsibilities

  • Build, test, and calibrate complex assemblies to meet quality standards.
  • Follow detailed mechanical, electrical, and optical assembly instructions.
  • Use hand tools, soldering equipment, and precision instruments daily.
  • Manage material handling and inventory for the work cell.
  • Communicate with the team to improve production processes.

We are hiring a Manufacturing Technician for a precision scientific equipment manufacturer in the area. In this role, you will assemble, test, and calibrate intricate instruments within a collaborative team environment.

Role Highlights
  • $22/hr
  • Madison, WI
  • Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Temporary-to-Hire based on performance and business needs
What You’ll Do
  • Build, test, and calibrate complex assemblies and final instrument builds to meet strict quality standards
  • Follow detailed work instructions for mechanical, electrical, and optical assemblies
  • Use hand tools, soldering equipment, and precision instruments daily
  • Manage material handling and perform inventory verification for your work cell
  • Communicate clearly with your team to solve problems and improve production processes
What You’ll Bring
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Experience with mechanical assembly, hand tools, and soldering preferred
  • Previous background in a manufacturing or production environment preferred
  • Ability to follow complex technical blueprints and written assembly guides
  • Physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally and 25 lbs frequently
