Job Description
We are seeking a Manufacturing Technician to play a pivotal role in the assembly, testing, and maintenance of robotic and automation systems. Responsibilities encompass a blend of electrical, mechanical, and quality assurance tasks, ensuring that systems meet stringent operational standards.
Assembly and Testing
- Electrical and Mechanical Assembly: Assemble robotic and automation systems, integrating components such as motors, sensors, and controllers.
- System Testing: Conduct functional tests to verify the performance and safety of assembled systems.
- Prototype Development: Build and test prototype assemblies to support new product development.
Repair and Maintenance
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and repair faults in robotic systems, including issues with I/O boards, motors, encoders, and control systems.
- Preventive Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance to ensure optimal system performance and longevity.
- Rebuilds and Retrofits: Disassemble, inspect, and refurbish robotic systems, replacing worn components as necessary.
Documentation and Compliance
- Record Keeping: Maintain detailed logs of assembly processes, repairs, and maintenance activities.
- Quality Assurance: Adhere to ISO procedures and quality standards, ensuring all systems meet company and customer specifications.
- Safety Protocols: Follow established safety guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
Collaboration and Support
- Cross-Department Interaction: Coordinate with engineering, quality assurance, and logistics teams to meet production goals.
- Training and Mentorship: Assist in the training of new technicians and provide guidance to less experienced personnel.
- Customer Support: Occasionally travel to customer sites to assist with system installations and troubleshooting.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in robotics, electronics, or a related field.
- Experience: Six months to two years of experience in a manufacturing or technical role, preferably involving robotics or automation systems.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical and mechanical schematics.
- Familiarity with robotic programming and control systems.
- Ability to use diagnostic tools and equipment for troubleshooting.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform tasks that require standing, bending, and manual dexterity.
- Soft Skills: Strong communication, problem-solving, and teamwork abilities.
