Job summary

The Fountain Group is seeking a Manufacturing Technician for a client in Granville, OH 43023. This is a 2-year assignment with potential for extension, starting pay $24/hr. Monday-Friday, first shift. Role involves physically handling insulation materials and supporting product testing efforts.

You will work with Product Testing Leads to test insulation materials (batts, duct board, duct wrap, mineral wool, loose fill, FDM, MBI) and maintain safety and lab standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• College degree is preferred.
• Previous experience in an R&D or quality laboratory is preferred.
• Basic understanding of laboratory techniques is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Actively participates in monthly safety meetings and adheres to safety procedures.
• Maintains lab excellence by meeting customer expectations for quality, turnaround time and status updates.
• Operates and maintains laboratory equipment and ensures calibration and functionality.
• Performs physical and thermal testing of insulation products and records results.
• Takes ownership of testing performed, including data entry, training, and method updates.
• Checks emails and calendar daily.

We are a national staffing firm and are currently seeking an Manufacturing Technician for a prominent client of ours. This position is in Granville, OH 43023. Details of the position are as follows:

Job Details:

• Pay: $24/hr to Start!!
• 2-year assignment, possibility for conversion/extension based on performance and budget.
• Monday- Friday: Standard 1st shift.
• Position will be mainly responsible for working closely with the Product Testing Leads to support the testing of insulation materials which may include residential batts, duct board, duct wrap, mineral wool, loose fill, FDM, and MBI. This will require constant contact with the insulation materials and is a physically active role.
• Key Responsibilities:
  • Living Safely
    • Actively participates in monthly safety meetings
    • Ensures rigorous compliance to safety procedures and OC corporate policies
    • Focuses on sustaining a safe work environment for self, team, and area visitors
    • Maintain current respirator fit program requirements, as needed
  • Maintain Lab Excellence
    • Work closely with Product Testing Leads to meet customer expectations for quality, turn-around time, communication of testing status, and achievement of overall lab outcomes
    • Collaborate with Product Testing Leads and the rest of the team to provide relevant and timely testing data/updates
    • Play an active role in supporting the business prioritization
    • Maintain an organized workspace, including sorting material delivered on pallets
    • Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, including ensuring calibration and functionality of equipment
    • Perform and record various physical and thermal testing of insulation products, such as compression, tensile strength, density, dimensions, and thermal conductivity
    • Take ownership of testing completed, including data entry, training requirements, and method updates when required
    • Check emails and calendar daily
