Job summary

Applicantz is seeking a grinding technician for a 24 months contract onsite in Fremont, CA (94538). The role runs a regular swing shift, Mon-Fri, 40 hours per week from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM, and requires setup, deburring, and inspection of machined parts.

The candidate will read and interpret drawings, perform grinding, sanding, washing, and polishing tasks, and maintain equipment and records. A team-oriented attitude and proactive problem-solving are essential for success in this fast-paced

Responsibilities

• Setting up and operating grinding and related tools that remove excess material or burrs from surfaces, sharpen edges or corners, or buff or polish metal work pieces.
• Repetitive filing or use of a grinder to smooth away nicks and fragments.
• Sanding by hand or sanding with a pneumatic hand tool for more troublesome deformities.
• Washing and polishing parts prior to submitting for inspection.
• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of machines to ensure optimal performance.
• Document production data and maintain accurate records of work performed.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to work.
• Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
