We have six U.S. manufacturing and Research & Development facilities, located in: Mesa, Arizona; Castroville, California; Hollister, California; Carrollton, Texas; and North Kingstown, Rhode Island—each offering unique local experiences, from vibrant cultural scenes to historic charm.
Responsibilities
- Follows documented procedures to prepare and fill containers based upon specific product and customer requirements
- Ensures correct lineup of packaging for various receipt and delivery operations; performs gauging and temperature verification; completes associated paperwork
- Moves containers and supplies within the plant to using a forklift
- Responds rapidly and appropriately to emergencies following safety guidelines and procedures; uses equipment, chemicals and procedures appropriate to the situation to mitigate damages
- Abides by all safety procedures and practices, participates in appropriate safety training; demonstrates dedication to and support of EH&S principles and values
- Understands and ensures all work performed meets Federal and State OSHA requirements
- Trains regularly on all Federal, state and local environmental regulations, requirements and guidelines
Requirements
- 1 – 3 years proven experience in manufacturing environment
- Must possess valid state Driver’s License
- Good communications skills; ability to clearly communicate to all levels in the organization
- Basic mathematical skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and long division.
- Basic computer knowledge and user ability including database systems and other programs and applications used at location
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and follow through on assignments
- Flexibility to work varying and/or rotating shifts
Work Environment/Conditions
- Exposure to inside and outside elements (100°+ summer to -10° winter)
- Exposure to various chemicals and compounds, including fumes and smells, some of them hazardous.
- Ascends and descends ladders and stairs. Ability to work in elevated environments, potentially for lengthy periods of time.
- Loud sounds and vibrations could be experienced at times. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate (All environments are safe with appropriate PPE).
- Regularly required to walk (sometimes over long distances and carrying tools weighing up to 15 pounds), crawl, sit, speak, and hear. Stand, use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; the technician will be required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch; able to twist around repeatedly; lift and/or move up to seventy-five (75) pounds including overhead; carry up to 25 pounds over a distance of up to 30 yards; roll and tip dolly holding 55 pounds
- This is a safety-sensitive position that requires candidates to successfully pass a post-offer drug screening prior to employment. One of the essential job functions is the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
