Job summary

Sartorius is seeking a Manufacturing Technician to support assembly, testing, and problem solving across electronic, optical, and mechanical sub-systems in a fast-paced onsite environment. The role emphasizes safe operations, quality adherence, and precise reporting to shift leadership.

Ideal candidates will have 2+ years in manufacturing, strong documentation interpretation, and experience configuring software for new assemblies, plus solid MS Office skills and teamwork.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing position.
  • Assembling complex mechanical or electronic systems.
  • Troubleshooting and testing systems.
  • Configuring/installing software for new assembly setups.
  • Strong ability to interpret technical documentation and perform basic calculations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent computer literacy and technical aptitude.

Responsibilities

  • Supports manufacturing operations within the Manufacturing Department as defined by Production Team Lead and Value Stream Manager.
  • Troubleshoot process & equipment problems to minimize downtime.
  • Assemble products to support Manufacturing Assembly teams to meet daily production rates.
  • Problem solve issues with complex instruments.
  • Ensure production operations meet requested quality and safety standards.
  • Follow safety rules related to equipment and people.
  • Report production details to the shift leader.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area.

Job description

As the Manufacturing Technician, you will be responsible for supporting assembly, Problem Solving and in-line testing of Manufacturing operations as well as assembling, testing electronic, optical and mechanical sub-systems in the requested quantity, quality and time limit based on the orientations set by the Production Team Lead and/or Value Stream Manager. This is an onsite role.

Your Responsibilities
  • Supports manufacturing operations within the Manufacturing Department as defined by Production Team Lead and Value Stream Manager.
  • Troubleshoot process & equipment problems promptly to minimize Manufacturing downtime.
  • Assemble products to support Manufacturing Assembly teams in order to achieve daily production rates given by the Production Manager.
  • Problem Solve issues with complex instruments - at times with little to no written instruction or reference materials.
  • Realize and control all his/her/their production operations with the requested quality, while respecting performance constraints and requirements (safety, security and environment)
  • Know and follow the safety rules related to equipment and people
  • Report with rigor and precision of their production to the shift leader / team leader
  • Ensure the cleanliness and permanent storage of the work environment
