Job summary

Connect Force is seeking a Technical Project Manager for manufacturing projects in the Metro Detroit area. The role unites engineering, purchasing, production, and customers to keep projects organized, commercially sound, and on schedule.

You will coordinate across departments, translate commitments into actionable plans, and drive projects from handoff to final delivery with a focus on risk management and clear communication.

Qualifications

• Experience managing projects involving industrial equipment, engineered products, automation, or manufacturing.
• Track record coordinating multiple departments and keeping competing priorities moving.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and project specifications.
• Clear communication and accountability.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects from order handoff through completion and customer acceptance.
• Establish schedules, milestones, responsibilities, and delivery priorities.
• Coordinate engineering, purchasing, production, and supporting departments.
• Monitor costs, budgets, and overruns; flag risks.
• Serve as primary customer contact for updates and changes.
• Review requirements to ensure agreed scope and deliverables.
• Manage scope changes and impact on cost, timing and resources.
• Lead project meetings with clear action items and ownership.
• Identify risks and coordinate practical solutions.
• Maintain project documentation and smooth handoff at completion.
