Job description

PRIMARY PURPOSE:

A manufacturing production team member is responsible for producing Grip-Tite products safely, efficiently and within quality production standards and practices. You must be reliable, punctual, adhere safety standards, and be able to perform the physical requirements of the position on a regular basis to meet the production schedule.

No manufacturing background or experience? No Problem!

Grip-Tite is focused on finding employees with a strong work ethic, positive attitude, safety oriented and a willingness to learn. We will teach on the rest! This position may entail assembly, machining, welding, material handling, paint, or other responsibilities as assigned. The more you learn and achieve, the greater your ability to grow your pay and position.

FOCUS:

• Works in various manufacturing cells with consistent speed and accuracy
• Works cooperatively with team members to meet production goals
• Maintains a clean and safe work area
• Observes all safety guidelines and reports safety concerns to leadership as necessary
• Follows the standard work in each manufacturing cell and/or as trained to produce a quality product within safety guidelines.
• Fills out required paperwork accurately for all products produced as trained upon (quantities, quality checks, heat numbers, etc.)
• Operates hand and power tools to assemble products.
• Shares knowledge with all team members to achieve desired deliverables expected from our customers.
• Works as One Team regardless of position, shift, or assigned job to ensure Grip-Tites success.

SKILLS / ABILITIES & EXPERIENCE:

• Ability to come to work on a regular and consistent basis
• Ability to wear proper PPE at all times required on the production floor
• Maintains a positive attitude even when the going gets tough
• Strives to learn and build on training received to reach production goals
• Must be able to learn to read blueprints and interpret work instruction
• Must be able to read a tape measure
• Must take pride in work output and the work environment - taking care of equipment and facilities

EDUCATION:

• Highschool diploma or GED preferred.
• Technical trades schooling or hands-on experience beneficial, but not required.

• Must be able to work onsite in a manufacturing plant environment with heavy equipment and machinery.
• Ability to work in hot/cold temperatures on production floor based on temperature changes.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be expected to work inside a manufacturing environment with regular exposure to changing temperatures (hot, cold, humid), moving mechanical parts, dust, fumes, chemicals, and loud noises. The noise level in the work environment can be loud; vibration levels are moderate.
• Must have the ability to lift up to 75 lbs. periodically.
• Nearly all production/manufacturing cells require active bending, lifting, reaching, pushing, pulling, and repetitive motion on a regular basis.

• Competitive compensation based on applicable experience.
• Overtime paid as required by law. Time and a half for all worked hours over 40 as well as planned PTO hours over 40.
