Job summary

Clayton Homes is seeking team members for the Home Building Team to perform production operations across departments in the home building process. You will follow standard production methods, maintain safety, and work to meet productivity and quality standards.

The role emphasizes teamwork, adherence to OSHA regulations, and the ability to read architectural and engineering drawings. On-site, full-time positions with competitive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Even-tempered and a positive attitude with a strong focus on teamwork through communication.
• Cannot be past verbal disciplinary action for attendance.
• Achieved at least "High Performing" on most recent evaluation.
• No final written disciplinary actions in the last 6 months.
• Ability to read confirmation orders and build accurately with minimal quality issues while maintaining a sense of urgency.

Responsibilities

• Practice safe work habits to ensure production is efficient and safe while observing OSHA regulations.
• Work in a team environment to produce products that conform to quality standards while achieving productivity objectives.
• Serve as a good steward of company assets, protecting them from damage and misuse, reporting maintenance, keeping areas clean and orderly.
• Assist Team Leader and Area Coordinator to plan and organize manufacturing activities by communicating anticipated material shortages, identifying required tool maintenance, and communicating quality and productivity issues.
• Perform other duties assigned.

• Serve as a good steward of our company's physical assets, protecting them from damage and misuse, reporting all needed maintenance, keeping assigned areas clean and orderly.
• Assist Team Leader and Area Coordinator to plan and organize the manufacturing activities in your area by communicating anticipated material shortages, identifying required tool maintenance, and communicating any quality and productivity issues.
• Perform other duties assigned.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred
• Versatility and willingness to transfer into various departments when necessary.
• Clear and effective communication.
• Ability to read architectural and engineering drawings greatly desired.

Physical Demands

Must be able to walk, climb, and lift at least 50 pounds, as well as other physical duties needed.
