Position Overview

The Manufacturing Team Member I (MTM I) works in a team environment operating equipment to produce dental consumables, used to restore teeth, and must be able to prepare and perform all essential duties and responsibilities as outlined to meet specifications.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Keep work space and mixing equipment clean and adhere to all safety standards on the manufacturing floor.
2. Read and comprehend Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Manufacturing Instructions (MIs), and other required documents.
3. Perform tests in relation to MI, Test Instruction (TI), and Test Reports (TRs).
4. Use computers and lab equipment to perform required tests, transact, and issue material.
5. Utilize Business System tools such as 5S, Standard Work, Kanban, Kamishibai, etc., to perform tasks.
6. Cross-train into other positions to support multiple aspects of the business.
7. Complete Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS)/Injury and Illness Prevention Program (IIPP) training as appropriate.
8. Train others as needed.

Qualifications

1. High school diploma or GED required.
2. Less than 2 years of manufacturing/production experience.

1. Strong communication skills in English (reading, writing, verbal).
2. Basic measurement and mathematical skills.
3. Attention to detail, including punctuality.
4. Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
5. Team player.
6. Ability to meet daily production goals regarding Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Productivity.
7. Ability to act independently and make appropriate decisions with minimal supervision.
8. Follow instructions and guidelines set by trainers, department leads, or management.
9. Work well with others in a team environment.

Physical Demands

The physical demands include:

• Lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Standing for long periods (up to 8 hours).
• Good manual dexterity.
• Exposure to loud environments, solvents, oils, lubricants, fumes, and hazardous materials.
