Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Operations Managers are responsible for the day-to-day operations and short/long-term planning for the groups they manage. They oversee manufacturing, production control, engineering, inventory control, EH&S, shipping/receiving, etc., focusing on technology development and continuous improvement, translating customer requirements into state-of-the-art manufacturing strategies and processes.

Responsibilities:
  • CNC Machining Programming, Setting, and Part Proving.
  • Planning, execution, and management of production schedules.
  • Planning and executing received planned orders/schedules, providing picklists to stores, and meeting daily production targets.
  • Planning manpower to achieve required daily output.
  • Performing daily transactions in ERP systems.
  • Managing absenteeism within acceptable limits.
  • Ensuring cross-training within the department.
  • Training operators as per operational descriptions.
  • Managing and ensuring technical requirements of relays are met.
  • Ensuring daily activities comply with standard requirements.
  • Prior supervisory or leadership experience is required.
  • Experience with Six Sigma tools and lean manufacturing techniques.
  • Experience in lead time reduction and cost-saving activities.
  • Experience in plant lean transformation is a plus.
  • Awareness of EH&S issues, including COSHH and risk assessments.
  • Adherence to working practices and production procedures.
  • Monitoring and controlling quality.

  • Or Diploma in Engineering with 4+ years of supervisory experience in mechanical or related disciplines with deep CNC knowledge.
  • Proficiency in CNC programming, part setting/proving out, and working on various CNC machines (Turning, Turn Mill, etc.).
