Job Description

Tyco Fire Protection Products (TFPP) is currently recruiting Manufacturing Team Leader to work at our Monroe NC site.

  • Responsible for monitoring operators, ensuring that the finished product is being assembled/fabricated and packaged in the required manner.
  • Ensuring that assigned employees receive breaks and lunch in a timely manner.
  • Alerting the shift supervisor, engineers, materials and maintenance of any problems that will require extra assistance.
  • Making sure that all operators are staying current with production boards hour by hour in their assigned areas and ensuring work order completion and schedule adherence.
  • Arranging and putting together raw materials, partially finished or finished products according to specifications; removing, packing, and sorting raw materials or finished products; and in some cases, responsible for packing finished products, manually or through simple machines.
  • Ensuring workload assignment for designated associates.
  • Assuring that the quality of the assembled product meets the testing specifications and facilitating cross‑train associates.
  • Providing production reports and other key performance metrics as directed by supervisor.
  • Supervisory responsibilities including monitoring employees in sensor, gas detection areas; carrying out responsibilities in accordance with organization’s policies and applicable laws as directed by supervisor; adhering to all company EHS regulations (Zero Harm); and enforcing associates attendance reporting discrepancies to supervisor.
Qualifications

Education / Experience

  • High School diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong interpersonal skills.
  • Proven leadership skills.
  • Experience in manufacturing operations.

Technical Skills

  • Lead and direct teams and individuals to drive results.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Experience dealing with ERP systems: SAP, Oracle, BAAN.
  • IPC 610.
  • ESD.
  • Hazmat DOT knowledge.
