Job summary

Randstad USA in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Warehouse Team Lead for the day shift to guide a team in a fast-paced facility handling automotive tools and aftermarket equipment. You will oversee receiving, picking, packing, and shipping, while ensuring accuracy and timely local and statewide order fulfillment.

The role requires 2+ years in warehouse work with supervisory experience, strong WMS and RF scanner skills, and a commitment to safety and team development.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; leadership training is a plus.
• 2+ years of hands-on warehouse or distribution experience, with at least 1 year in a supervisory capacity.
• Experience with automotive aftermarket tools and equipment is highly preferred.
• Proficiency in using WMS, RF scanners, and standard inventory software.
• Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and perform physical warehouse tasks.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and team-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate day-to-day warehouse activities, receiving, picking, packing, and shipping of automotive tools and equipment.
• Supervise, train, and coach warehouse associates to ensure daily productivity, quality, and accuracy targets.
• Manage local will-call order fulfillment for distributor accounts with prompt turnaround.
• Monitor inventory control processes, oversee cycle counts, and track high-value tools and products.
• Operate and oversee safe use of forklifts and pallet jacks; enforce safety protocols.
• Maintain a clean, organized facility and resolve operational bottlenecks on the floor.

Candidate Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional supply chain or leadership training is a plus.
• 2+ years of hands‑on warehouse or distribution experience, with at least 1 year in a supervisory, lead, or training capacity.
• Previous experience with, or knowledge of, automotive aftermarket tools and equipment is highly preferred.
• Proficiency in using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), RF scanners, and standard inventory software.
• Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and perform physical warehouse tasks throughout the shift.
• Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and team‑building skills.

salary: $60,000 - $75,000 per year

Day-to-Day Duties

• Lead and coordinate day-to-day warehouse activities, including the receiving, picking, packing, and shipping of automotive tools and aftermarket equipment.
• Supervise, train, and coach warehouse associates to ensure daily productivity, quality, and accuracy targets are consistently met.
• Manage local "will call" order fulfillment for distributor accounts, ensuring prompt and accurate turnaround.
• Monitor inventory control processes, oversee cycle counts, and ensure the accurate tracking of high-value tools and products.
• Operate and oversee the safe use of standard warehouse machinery, such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
• Enforce strict safety protocols, maintain a clean and organized facility, and proactively resolve any operational bottlenecks on the floor.
