Job summary

SpaceX in Hawthorne, CA is seeking a Full Stack Software Engineer for Manufacturing Systems to advance software that speeds up production of Starship and Starlink facilities.

You will own and build mission-critical applications, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and drive architectural decisions in a fast-paced aerospace environment. A strong full-stack background and on-site commitment are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, math, or scientific discipline; OR 2+ years of professional software experience.
• 1+ years of experience in full stack development.
• Proficiency in Python, C#.NET, Go, Scala, Java, or similar OO language.
• 1+ years of experience building single-page web applications.
• Experience with version control, CI/CD concepts.
• Strong understanding of testing, CI, deployment & monitoring.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with UNIX-like OS and automation tools (Terraform, Ansible, Puppet).
• Experience with in-stream data processing using Kafka, RabbitMQ, ActiveMQ.

Responsibilities

• Develop highly reliable software solutions used across SpaceX.
• Create new applications that improve how SpaceX operates.
• Build prototypes to prove out key design concepts and quantify constraints.
• Own all aspects of software engineering and product development.
• Deep dive into users’ problems to create efficient solutions.
• Collaborate on architecture, design, and code reviews.
