Job summary

CesiumAstro is seeking an Industrial Engineer II to improve manufacturing systems, production processes, and workflows for space-grade platforms. You will evaluate performance, implement process improvements, and support optimization to meet engineering, cost, and schedule goals.

The role collaborates with manufacturing, quality, engineering, supply chain, and operations teams across the product lifecycle, developing documentation and data summaries to inform business decisions.

Qualifications

• Degree in manufacturing/industrial engineering or related field.
• 2–5 years in manufacturing/production operations or related discipline.
• Experience with process improvement and lean manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Support manufacturing processes, product workflows, and facility layouts.
• Conduct time studies and labor analyses to improve performance.
• Analyze drawings and process data to support improvements.
• Plan production, capacity, and readiness with cross-functional teams.
• Investigate issues and contribute to corrective actions.
• Develop process documentation and operational metrics.
• Participate in manufacturing reviews and planning activities.
• Maintain engineering data and configuration-controlled information.
• Apply standards and procedures across manufacturing operations.
