Job summary

Lenovo’s Manufacturing campus in Whitsett is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer Intern to support the systems that manage production activity, data, and product traceability. This onsite internship offers practical experience preparing manufacturing systems for new products and troubleshooting production issues.

You will collaborate with production, quality, and engineering teams, assist with database-management activities, and help set up systems for products entering production.

Qualifications

• Pursuing or recently completed bachelor's degree in CS, EE, CE, manufacturing engineering or related technical field.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to learn internally developed systems and processes.
• Strong attention to detail and collaboration.
• Ability to work onsite at the NCSC Whitsett site 40 hours/week and support the assigned first- or second-shift schedule.

Responsibilities

• Support the manufacturing systems used to manage production activity and product traceability.
• Assist with database-management activities and internally developed manufacturing systems.
• Support system setup activities for products entering production.
• Support the maintenance of accurate manufacturing data and documentation.
• Participate in process-improvement and production-support activities.
• Collaborate with production, quality, engineering, and technical teams.
