Job summary

Lenovo's NCSC Whitsett site in North Carolina is seeking an Industrial Engineer to support manufacturing operations and drive process improvements. You will partner with engineering and production teams to analyze current processes and identify opportunities to streamline work across the campus.

You will apply data analysis, Lean Six Sigma, and CAD tools to design layouts, reduce bottlenecks, and enhance safety and ergonomics while maintaining production goals and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in industrial engineering or related discipline.
• Experience or coursework involving data analysis.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD or SolidWorks.
• Familiarity with data-analysis tools, such as SQL, Python, R, or Minitab.
• Ability to work onsite at the NCSC Whitsett site Monday through Friday.
• Ability to provide occasional overtime or weekend support.

Responsibilities

• Process optimization: Streamlining workflows and performing time and motion studies to reduce bottlenecks.
• Supply Chain & Logistics: Designing efficient facility layouts and managing inventory to cut transportation and storage costs.
• Quality Control: Implementing methodologies (like Six Sigma or Lean) to ensure products and services meet strict industry standards.
• Ergonomics & Safety: Designing workstations and processes that prevent worker injury and improve overall workplace.
