Job summary

Lockheed Martin in Highlands Ranch, CO, is seeking an entry-level Buy‑Part Planner to manage non‑manufactured (buy) parts across the Space portfolio. You will own PR creation, validation, and lifecycle management, coordinating with Demand Management, Quality, Procurement, and Production to keep plans aligned with forecasts and inventory policies.

The role supports a team in a multi-functional manufacturing environment and offers growth within a defense technology company.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of hands-on experience in material planning, inventory control, or procurement for a manufacturing/aerospace environment.
• Demonstrated experience creating and managing purchase requisitions (PRs) and working with ERP systems (SAPMM/PP, Oracle, etc.)
• Strong attention to detail and ability to reconcile demand, inventory, and procurement data
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a shift-based, fast-paced environment and to support “go-fast” surge actions when needed.

Responsibilities

• Ensure requisitions are generated accurately, on-time, and in alignment with engineering releases, demand forecasts, and inventory policies.
• Act as the bridge between Demand Management, Quality, Procurement, and Production.
• Be responsible for key performance indicators such as ECONs, material master extensions, exception message processing, and expired material maintenance.
