Job summary

RTX (Raytheon) in Tucson seeks a supplier quality engineer to lead rapid issue resolution and drive root-cause corrective actions for factory materials.

You will interface with Raytheon factories in supplier assurance, review nonconformances, and implement robust corrective solutions while ensuring compliance with DoD standards. Applicants must have a STEM degree and eligible security clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and five years of related experience.
• Experience with RCCA tools and processes.
• Experience with ISO 9001 and/or AS9100 QMS.
• Experience with hardware inspection techniques and engineering drawings.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead rapid resolution of supplier-caused issues impacting the factory with cross-functional teams.
• Represent supplier assurance as onsite interface to Raytheon factories for tier meetings and nonconforming material reviews.
• Analyze material non-conformance metrics and develop corrective action plans.
• Investigate issues with supplied material ensuring robust root-cause analysis and implemented corrective solutions.
• Assist with quarantine, containment and screening of suspect defective hardware.

What You Will Do

• Utilize analytical capabilities and communications skills to lead rapid resolution of supplier caused issues impacting the factory, working with other quality functions and cross-functional teams.
• Represent supplier assurance as the onsite interface to Raytheon factories supporting factory tier meetings, layered process assessments, and nonconforming material reviews.
• Analyze supplied material non-conformance metrics and develop action plans to address top and systemic drivers.
• Investigate issues with supplied material ensuring accuracy of defect documentation, robust root-cause analysis, and corrective solutions are fully implemented
• Assist with quarantine, containment and screening of suspect defective supplied hardware.

Qualifications You Must Hav e

• Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM)and five (5) years of experience in related Quality, Operations, Engineering or related technical discipline
• Experience with Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) tools and processes
• Experience with ISO 9001 and/or AS9100 Quality Management System
• Experience with hardware inspection techniques and interpreting engineering drawings
• The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefe r

• Proven success in building and maintaining relationships with suppliers, customers, and internal teams
• Experience in DoD product and process oversight including requirements, build, integration, test and delivery
• High computer proficiency, including skills working with SAP/ PRISM and Microsoft Tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
• Six Sigma, Lean and / or American Society for Quality (ASQ) Certification (CQE, CQM/OE, CSQE, CQA, CRE, etc.)

This position is classified as: Onsite : Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products. Note, this position does not provide relocation assistance.

This position requires a security clearance. DCSA Consolidated Adjudication Services (DCSA CAS), an agency of the Department of Defense, handles and adjudicates the security clearance process. The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
