Purpose

Describe the primary goals, objectives, functions, or outputs of this position.

The role of the Manufacturing Supervisor I involves basic knowledge and experience in its field, developing competence through structured work. The supervisor receives guidance from more senior peers. The role includes leading safe operations, ensuring quality, regulatory compliance, customer service, financial performance, and fostering a high-performance team culture.

Responsibilities

List up to 10 main responsibilities, including accountability and scope:

• Safety: Promote a safety-first environment, conduct safety gembas, and ensure zero safety incidents in compliance with all EHS standards.
• People: Effectively deploy team members, ensure proper training, foster engagement through regular 1:1s and performance reviews, manage attendance, and communicate effectively.
• Operational: Coordinate shift activities to meet production schedules, ensure smooth handovers, and plan activities safely.
• Compliance: Ensure adherence to regulatory standards, conduct routine checks, and manage compliance issues promptly.
• Performance: Manage cycle times and change-over times, seeking continuous improvement.
• Development: Develop team members through training and challenging tasks, and pursue personal growth.
• Operational Excellence (OpEx): Participate in process improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in sciences or engineering.
• Experience in the pharmaceutical industry is preferred.
• At least two years of manufacturing or related experience; supervisor experience is a plus.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and manufacturing systems like SAP.
• Knowledge of safety, quality systems, cGMPs, and documentation in regulated environments.
• Experience in aseptic environments is desirable if applicable.
