Job summary

Crown Holdings in Atlanta, GA seeks a Supervisory Manufacturing Associate to oversee production, safety and quality while supporting the Plant Manager and Superintendent.

You will coordinate hourly teams, ensure GMP compliance, manage master scheduling inputs, and drive improvements in cost, safety and efficiency across the line.

Qualifications

  • Associates Degree or equivalent experience in a manufacturing facility.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Team oriented and collaborative.
  • Flexible hours to support projects, maintenance, sample orders, and weekend duty.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

  • Make quality decisions on GMP and production norms while overseeing production teams and assisting Plant Manager and Plant Superintendent.
  • Conduct safety audits and safety observations of equipment and procedures.
  • Inspect equipment and product to ensure safety, utilization and quality.
  • Communicate with employees regarding safety, staffing needs, scheduling and training.
  • Review and support master scheduling to meet production needs.
  • Plan process activities and prioritize procedures, equipment capabilities and staffing levels.
  • Address non-conformance in safety, policies and procedures.
  • Lead and coach line process teams to improve quality, flexibility, and reduce costs.
  • Conduct team meetings and safety training.
  • Maintain time and attendance records and production data in electronic systems.
  • Provide leadership for hourly employees on job performance.
  • Coordinate manufacturing activities to meet production and quality specs.
  • Interface with vendors for parts, support, and training related to production and maintenance.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Accountabilities
  • This position will be responsible for making quality decisions in regards to plant GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and Production norms while overseeing production, teams, as well as assisting the Plant Manager and Plant Superintendent with the day to day plant operations.
  • Will conduct various safety audits of equipment and procedures along with conduction safety observations.
  • Will inspect equipment and product to ensure optimum safety, utilization and quality.
  • Will communicate with all employees concerning safety, staffing needs, scheduling, problem solving, change actions, overtime, vacations and training.
  • Will review and support master scheduling process to meet production needs.
  • Plan process activities and follow established priorities regarding procedures, equipment capabilities, process team performance and staffing levels.
  • Review, analyze and act to correct non-conformance in areas of safety, policies, and procedures.
  • Lead, coach, and support line process teams in their efforts to improve quality, increase flexibility and reduce costs.
  • Conduct required team meetings and safety training.
  • Maintain time and attendance records, as well as production data in electronic systems.
  • Provide leadership for hourly employees on job performance.
  • Coordinate manufacturing activities to insure production and product quality meet specifications.
  • Will interface with internal and external vendors to provide parts, support, and training as it relates to production and maintenance.
  • Other duties to be assigned as necessary.
Job Requirements
  • Associates Degree or equivalent experience in a manufacturing facility.
  • Must have excellent communication skills.
  • Must be team oriented.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours to assist with projects, maintenance, sample orders, weekend duty, etc.
  • Must have proficient computer skills (Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc.)
