Job summary

MilliporeSigma in Wisconsin invites applications for a Manufacturing Supervisor role focused on the safe and compliant production of active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) according to cGMP. The position centers on kilo and production API manufacturing and supporting documentation; it includes staff leadership, training, and ensuring a clean, safe manufacturing environment.

This B shift role runs Thursday through Sunday 6:30am–7:00pm, plus Friday–Sunday 6:30am–7:00pm.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering or Life Science.
• 2+ years of work experience in chemical or pharmaceutical manufacturing.
• 2+ years of manager/supervisor experience.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary operator for project execution in kilo and production API manufacturing.
• Ensure adherence to Verona/Madison procedures and maintain accurate cGMP records.
• Apply strong knowledge of synthetic and process chemistry to support manufacturing activities.
• Coordinate cross-department workflow to ensure timely completion of manufacturing projects and PD scale-up/tech transfer.
• Lead, train, and develop staff; conduct performance reviews and recruit/export cross-training as needed.
• Maintain compliance with FDA, OSHA, EPA, DNR, DOT, and other regulatory guidelines; uphold a clean, safe workplace.
• Identify gaps and areas for improvement in production systems and work to resolve them
• Represent the company with customers and vendors; manage projects end-to-end and respond to emergencies as needed.
