Job summary

kdc/one Port Jervis is seeking a Manufacturing Supervisor to lead all area manufacturing activities, ensure adherence to GMPs, and drive cost control while maintaining product quality. The role involves coordinating batch scheduling, material weighing, and staff training.

You will oversee performance reviews, safety training, and engagement initiatives, with regular budgeting input and a focus on continuous improvement in methods and procedures. On-site role in Port Jervis, NY.

Qualifications

• Two years' experience in a production/manufacturing environment; leadership experience preferred.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of GMPs, safety and quality control procedures.

Responsibilities

• Direct all manufacturing activities for the area of responsibility.
• Identify and weigh raw materials from pre-determined formulations.
• Discuss and schedule batches to meet priorities with the Manufacturing Manager.
• Direct and coordinate the manufacturing and matching of standards and specifications to obtain lab or customer approval.
• Maintain quality level of product.
• Assist staff and others in improving methods and procedures.
• Maintain costs within guidelines and initiate cost reductions while maintaining quality.
• Reduce waste material and rework.
• Maintain GMPs.
• Directly train personnel to perform department duties.
• Ensure employee safety through proper training in a safe work environment.
• Conduct performance reviews and provide feedback to direct reports.
• Drive employee engagement and administer fair discipline.
• Assist in creating department budgets with Manufacturing Manager.

• Direct all manufacturing activities as they pertain to the area of responsibility.
• Must be capable of identifying, selecting, weighing raw materials from pre-determined formulations.
• Discuss and schedule batches to meet priorities with the Manufacturing Manager.
• Direct and coordinate the manufacturing and matching of standards and specifications to a level where laboratory and/or customer approval may be obtained.
• Maintain quality level of product.
• Assist staff and others in making improvements in methods and procedures.
• Maintain costs within guidelines, initiate cost reductions within area of responsibility, while maintaining quality product.
• Attempt to reduce waste material and rework.
• Maintain GMP's.
• Directly trains personnel assigned them to perform job requirements of the department.
• Responsible for employees' safety through proper training in a safe work environment.
• Conduct performance reviews and provide feedback to direct reports on a regular basis for growth and development.
• Responsible for driving employee engagement and administering fair and consistent disciplinary action.
• Act as advisor to Manufacturing Manager in the creation of recommended budgets for the department.
• Operates within budgets as established.
• Responsible for the maintenance of good housekeeping within the department.
• Orders and maintains proper supplies for department with approval of immediate supervisor.
• Required to work Saturdays as needed.
• All other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School or equivalency diploma.
• Minimum of two (2) years' experience in a production/manufacturing environment with leadership experience preferred.
