Job summary

Reynolds American Inc. in Winston-Salem is seeking a Manufacturing Supervisor to lead daily production, ensuring safety, quality, and productivity goals while developing production staff.

The role drives continuous improvement, optimizes processes, and manages regulatory compliance (GMP, EHS) to sustain a safe, efficient manufacturing environment and strong performance. This position offers exposure to multi-category manufacturing within a global company and opportunities for professional growth

Qualifications

  • High school diploma/GED required; Associate or Bachelor degree in Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and manufacturing systems/data tools.

Responsibilities

  • Drive manufacturing performance by aligning operations with company goals and optimizing workflows.
  • Lead and develop teams through coaching, setting expectations, and building capability and engagement.
  • Enhance operational excellence via data analysis, process improvements, cost reduction, and inventory optimization.
  • Ensure compliance and quality standards with GMP and EHS practices and operational controls.
  • Promote EHS/ESG by maintaining a safe environment and supporting training and corrective actions.

REYNOLDS AMERICAN has an exciting opportunity for a Manufacturing Supervisor in Winston Salem

The Manufacturing Supervisor leads daily production operations to achieve safety, quality, and productivity goals. This role supervises and develops production employees, drives continuous improvement initiatives, and optimizes manufacturing processes to improve efficiency and performance. The position also ensures compliance with quality, regulatory, and EHS requirements while maintaining a safe and productive work environment.

Your Key Responsibilities Will Include
  • Drive manufacturing performance by aligning operations with company goals, optimizing workflows, improving efficiencies, and supporting production objectives.
  • Lead and develop teams by setting expectations, monitoring performance, providing coaching and feedback, and building employee capability and engagement.
  • Enhance operational excellence through data analysis, process improvement initiatives, cost reduction strategies, inventory and material optimization, and implementation of effective systems and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance and quality standards by applying sound judgment regarding regulatory requirements, company policies, GMP practices, and operational controls.
  • Promote EHS and ESG performance by maintaining a safe work environment, implementing EHS/ESG programs, ensuring training and compliance, reducing risks and environmental impacts, and supporting incident reporting and corrective actions.
What are we looking for?
  • Education & Technical Skills High school diploma/GED required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred. Proficient in Microsoft Office and manufacturing systems/data tools
  • Manufacturing Experience Proven record of high performance in a manufacturing environment, with the ability to achieve operational goals and drive results.
  • Leadership & Communication Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage, motivate, and develop teams effectively.
  • Initiative & Problem Solving Self‑motivated change agent who generates new ideas, challenges the status quo, and drives continuous improvement
  • Additional Qualifications Valid driver's license meeting company requirements. Preferred experience includes managing production teams and working in FDA‑regulated manufacturing environments.
