Job summary

Moeller Aerospace is seeking a hands-on Manufacturing Supervisor to lead daily operations in our Michigan facility, ensuring safety, quality, delivery, and team development.

You'll plan labor and machine resources, drive continuous improvement, and collaborate with Planning, Maintenance, Quality, and Engineering to solve challenges and optimize throughput.

Qualifications

  • Proven leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong communication and team-building skills.
  • Experience with ERP systems (Syteline a plus).
  • Ability to perform basic shop math and production calculations.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.

  • Drive a culture of safety, accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
  • Support onboarding, cross-training, and professional development of staff.
  • Monitor production performance and key operational metrics.
  • Collaborate with Planning, Maintenance, Quality, and Engineering to solve challenges and improve processes.
  • Ensure accurate documentation, schedule adherence, and production reporting.
  • Identify opportunities to improve machine utilization, capacity, and overall performance.

We're looking for a Manufacturing Supervisor to lead daily operations within our manufacturing value stream, ensuring safety, quality, delivery, and team success.

What You’ll Do

As a Manufacturing Supervisor, you'll play a key role in leading production teams and optimizing manufacturing performance. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading and developing a skilled manufacturing team to achieve production, quality, and delivery goals.
  • Planning and assigning labor and machine resources to maximize efficiency and throughput.
  • Driving a culture of safety, accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
  • Supporting employee onboarding, cross‑training, and professional development.
  • Monitoring production performance and key operational metrics.
  • Collaborating closely with Planning, Maintenance, Quality, and Engineering teams to solve challenges and improve processes.
  • Ensuring accurate documentation, schedule adherence, and production reporting.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve machine utilization, capacity, and overall manufacturing performance.
What We’re Looking For
Required Qualifications
  • Proven leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong communication and team‑building skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Teams.
  • Experience working with ERP systems (Syteline experience is a plus).
  • Ability to perform basic shop math and production calculations.
  • Strong organizational and problem‑solving abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with CNC machining operations, setups, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
  • Understanding of CMM equipment and programming.
  • Knowledge of quality management systems such as ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and AS9100.
  • Experience using structured problem‑solving methodologies such as 8D and 5 Why analysis.
Education & Experience
  • Associate’S or Bachelor's degree preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and manufacturing leadership experience.

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand for extended periods in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to regularly lift up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
